Home studies- it is not uncommon for adoptive families to work with another agency that is unable to travel to an adoptive family's home to conduct a home study. Abc is contacted occasionally to conduct this service by contract with other agencies. Terms for the contract are discussed prior to proving the service and the originating agency is responsible for payment to abc. These home studies are also be done by the placement director and the executive director.

Post-placement reports- in almost all adoptions, follow-up is required by law. It is in the best interests of the child to ensure their physical, social, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs are being met. It is also beneficial to adoptive parents to have access to additional information and resources if the child is struggling in any of the above areas. Abc conducts all post placement studies and reports as required by law. In fact, abc requires a minimum of 2 post-placement reports, in our effort to ensure the children and their families have all the support they need during the crucial time of adjustment after placement. Each adoption requires these reports. Similar to the home study reports, abc is occassionaly contacted by other agencies for this service as well.
