ACTUS FINANCIAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Project "actus" (which stands for algorithmic contract types unified standards) began as an effort by a group of academics, finance experts, and former regulators to directly address the disarray in financial data revealed by the 2008 financial crisis. The primary purpose of actus financial research foundation is to conduct scientific research relating to the creation of a data standard for financial contracts that would provide better regulatory and risk management information to avert problems such as the 2008 financial crisis. The foundation works to create a data standard and software/computer algorithms for the purpose of enabling financials institutions, scholars, researchers, regulatory and other governmental bodies to model the operation of financial firms and systems using granular transaction and position data. The actus data standard and associated algorithms are being made available as open-source, royalty-free software via github to all legally qualified users.
