The demand for affordable units in neighborhoods like Virginia-Highland highlights the need to preserve and use existing multifamily properties to meet community needs. Project Objectives and Community Impact: This 806 Briarcliff Road NE initiative aims to increase access to affordable housing by providing well-maintained rental homes priced for low- to moderate-income individuals. Preserve Neighborhood Diversity: Ensure that individuals and families from various economic backgrounds can reside in this area.

$5KLocated in the historic Collier Heights neighborhood 237 East Simon Terrace NW is pivotal to our nonprofits mission of enhancing access to safe stable and affordable housing in Atlanta. This project aids low- to moderate-income individuals and families facing housing instability while honoring the legacy of a community renowned for Black homeownership and civic leadership. Atlantas Affordable Housing Crisis persists with a significant shortage of affordable housing. Between 2018 and 2023 the metro area lost over 230,000 rental units priced below $1,500 per month including 54,000 units under $800 Saporta Report. Additionally nearly 25% of Georgia renters are extremely low-income with 71% spending over half their income on rent NLIHC. The Collier Heights initiative aims to: Increase Access to Affordable Housing: Deliver well-maintained rental homes priced for low- to moderate-income households. Preserve Neighborhood Stability: Help long-time residents stay in place.
