Publications: the association promoted the development and dissemination of research and best practices to academicians, professionals, and practitioners through its adult and continuing education publications. Two quarterly publications, adult education quarterly, a preferred research journal, and adult learning, a practitioner-oriented journal, are highly regarded within the field. The association also publishes the journal of transformative education, which is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal focused on advancing the understanding, practice, and experience of transformative education. All three journals are available digitally to all members as a member benefit for no additional charge. In addition, the handbook of adult and continuing education is published every ten years as a reference text on current research and best practices in the field.
