Annual conference - the conference brings together cochlear implant clinicians, educators, and government officials to explore the latest research results, discuss the clinical population, and raise questions regarding clinical implications. During the year ended june 30, 2024, the aci alliance did not hold the annual conference, which occurred on july 10-13, 2024. As of june 30, 2024, the aci alliance had $833,405 in deferred conference revenue related to payments received for registration, exhibit fees and sponsorships for the annual conference that occurred in july 2024, which were not recognized as revenue until the annual conference occurred during the fiscal year ended june 30, 2025.

Research - the aci alliance strategically supports research that could improve access to cochlear implantation, which was not being sufficiently addressed elsewhere. Project support was provided to medical university of south carolina to explore the development of new instruments that may provide a more comprehensive and patient-centered understanding of ci patient outcomes than just using speech recognition. Support was also provided to a project that seeks to expand medicare coverage for cochlear implants. An internal research project explored medicaid limitations in certain states.
