AMERICAN LEGION POST #10

Post 10 has generously given donations to those in need as follows: 1) purchased a therapy chair for a wwii veteran who was given six months to live; the chair saved his life and is now a member of the post 2) honor flight of southern new mexico and el paso who take veterans to visit their memorials in washington dc free of charge; 3) american legion children and youth program, oratorical program, boys and girls state and the fisher house; 4) supported the children ad youth camp in estancia, nm; 5) continued support for the state veterans home in truth or consequences, nm for needed improvements; 6) legacy scholarship of $1,000: 7) financial support to the vietnam veterans of america, order of the purple heart, unity military women of the southwest, american legion department of new mexico and other nm posts who solicited support; and 8) innumerable veterans and veteran families needing financial assistance for their rent, utilities, food, and various other financial and emotional needs.
