During 2024, the board of directors authorized the funding of one early investigator seed grant of $25,000 to washington university, saint louis.this grant is to support a proposal entitled "thalamic functional connectivity with the somato-cognitive action network in pediatric epilepsy". This funding will support the grantee's proposal that aligns with the mission of the aspn to improve the lives of children and adults affected by pediatric neurosurgical conditions through excellence in clinical care, scientific discovery, education, and advocacy. Pursuant to the terms of the grants, recipients must submit an interim progress report by december 1, 2024, and a final report is due by june 1, 2025.
