See schedule o:quality of care initiatives:quality oncology practice initiative (qopi) is a quality self-assessment and improvement program for outpatient medical oncology and hematology-oncology practices. Qopi provides a web-based data collection tool that allows practices to 1) report on various cancer care quality measures, 2) receive analyzed data on practice performance, and 3) compare performance against their peers for data-driven improvement activities. Practices participate annually and over 263 pratices particapted in 2024. Quality training program. Asco's quality training program is designed to educate and train hematolgy-onocology practice teams on the techniques of clinical care and operational performance quality improvement. 290 oncology professionals received training in 2024.guidelines. Asco's guidelines program engages with more than 1,000 asco member volunteers, on a yearly basis, to develop expert recommendations and standards designed to promote consistent, safe delivery of high-quality cancer care worldwide. Clinical content is disseminated using published articles, recommendation tables, algorithms, podcasts, visual abstracts, and other resources accessible through asco journals, the asco website, and the asco guidelines app. Guidelines are among the most read articles in the journal of clinical oncology (jco), with over 1.1 million downloads and 503 citations in 2024. Asco publishes between 25 and 30 new or updated guidelines each year, with a growing library of guideline summaries that have been translated into spanish. A total of 39 guideline products were published in the jco family of journals in 2024, including several rapid recommendations and multiple iterations of asco's comprehensive living guideline that addresses the care of patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.

Policy:in collaboration with volunteer experts, asco works to address a wide range of policy issues that impact the cancer care delivery system and people with cancer. Policy is conveyed in formal statements published in asco journals, and in public facing communications channels. Areas of focus include quality and access to care, insurance issues, cost, prevention, survivorship, reimbursement, and support for clinical cancer research. In 2024, asco continued to draw public attention to the persistent crisis of drug shortages, the ongoing and worsening harms related to aggressive utilization management practices, the need to sustain access to evidence based cancer care, the need to balance benefits/harms associated with use of artificial intelligence in cancer care, and the importance of telemedicine as a component of health care delivery.center for global impact (cgi):asco's international affairs department has transitioned to the center for global impact (cgi). Cgi partners across asco and oncology communities worldwide to integrate global perspectives into asco strategies and operations, and to catalyze and advance asco's global impact goals as directed by the society's mission, vision, and strategic plans. Cgi serves as a resource across asco for global issues relevant to asco, with a particular emphasis on volunteer engagement, diplomacy, strategic planning, program delivery, and global operations. While not owned or published by asco, the publications cover news and information of interest to the professional oncology community.education and professional development:in 2024, asco launched the inaugural leadership development program (ldp): latin america class of 12, creating a network of physician leaders to advance cancer care. In 2024, asco had record virtual mentoring program participation (68% increase), resulting in the creation of a technological solution to meet the demand. The in-training exam for oncology fellows had record participation with 2333 trainees from 20 countries across the globe participating. All programs serve the purpose of building the workforce.
