Senior interior design (id) student scholarship awards program conducted in accordance with approved (by 4/26/01 determination letter) grant procedures. Foundation conducted its annual scholarship competition which was open to qualified students in attendance in over 50 nationally accredited id schools; 26 of the id schools chose to participate and each id school selected 1 or 2 of its id students about to enter their final year; the id schools selected 45 students who submitted design portfolios prepared in accordance with foundation-required specifications. 16 judges (id practitioners or press) reviewed and juried the submitted student portfolios, each without identification of origin (either student name or id school). Judges chose 12 as worthy of being awarded a foundation scholarship (for student's senior year up to a maximum of $30,000); total awarded $360,000. Expenses directly incurred in connection with the scholarship awards program: $37,146.
