ARTS FOR LEARNING MARYLAND INC

As the maryland affiliate of wolf trap institute for early learning, arts for learning offers residency programs designed specifically for learners from birth through kindergarten. Additionally, the organization provides interactive workshops, educator professional learning, and assemblies. This year, eight arts-integrated professional learning workshops offered 86 childcare providers the opportunity to earn the msde core of knowledge hours required to retain their licenses. In partnership with mdaeyc, md family network, baltimore symphony orchestra, and more, the organization was granted a proclamation from gov. Moore proclaiming april to be the "month of the young child." during the month of the young child, the organization hosted 8 state delegates and senators at early childhood programs across the state. During the year ended august 31, 2024, arts for learning reached 16,653 early learners, families, and educators.

Arts for learning professional development programs support educators and school districts in transforming schools with arts-integrated learning, critical thinking, and 21st century skills. From arts-based enrichments at faculty meetings to arts-integrated yearlong fellowships for educators and principals, the aim is to support the adults who work with children to see and use the arts as a vehicle for inspiration and engagement. Through professional development initiatives including arts for learning days, the principal fellowship program, and more, the organization indirectly impacts the education of tens of thousands of maryland students each year.
