Program 1
$113KSnack Attack delivers bags of nutritious food items to local schools during the school year to be given to children who are homeless or from low-income families to alleviate their hunger over the weekend. The program also delivers food bags to children at a low-income pre-school on a year-round basis. Since its inception in 2007, this program has distributed over 398,000 snack bags to elementary schools in Riverside County, California School for the Deaf, a local child development center, and other agencies serving youths in need, which included 31,879 bags for 901 students per week delivered to 14 schools during the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

$105KCareer and College Bound encourages students to seek education beyond the secondary level. Since 1975, this program has awarded $265,200 in college visitation scholarships for local high school students, and $351,000 in college and vocational school scholarships for first-year expenses, including 31 scholarships at $2,000 each during the 2024-2025 year.
Program 3
$41KHearts and Hands and Teen and Young Adult Support Hearts and Hands provides cultural, educational, and social opportunities to children and youth by collaborating with schools and other nonprofit groups. Hearts and Hands has the flexibility to work with other organizations to identify and respond to specific needs and to increase community awareness of our organization and its other programs. In 2024-2025, the program served 1,028 children. Teen and Young Adult Support aids teens in need, including those who are aging out of foster care and entering college. Since its inception in 2013, this program has provided more than $195,500 in goods, services, and scholarships.
Program 4
$30KBear Pals began in 1988 and distributes new teddy bears, fun kits, and blankets to area hospitals, Riverside County Police and Sheriffs Departments, and the Juvenile Court system to provide comfort and quiet play activities to children who are patients or victims in traumatic situations. After learning that there was an increase in teenage suicide attempts during the pandemic, the Fun Kits have been expanded to include materials and activities appropriate for older children. Approximately 57,000 teddy bears have been distributed since the beginning of this program, which in 2023 expanded to include the Corona-Norco area.

$7KOther Programs:RAP (Reading Assistance Partners) was launched in 2023 and provides tutoring in phonics to underachieving 2nd graders at 4 elementary schools. Childrens Outreach supports social and educational development of financially disadvantaged and special needs children through tuition scholarships, supplies, and activities provided through The Carolyn E. Wylie Center for Children, Youth & Families. Also, a $2,000 scholarship was awarded to a local high school senior.Adopt-a-Family provides families with food, decorations, and gifts during the holiday season.SOAR Reading provides after school tutoring to children in grades 1-3. Financial Literacy is a program that provides tutoring in essential financial skills for students in grades 4 6 at elementary schools.
