$26KThe overall goal here is multi-faceted in that it requires ongoing attention to building awareness of the needs and potential of those with autism in order to increase their acceptance at various levels of social and community living their diverse functioning levels may enable. To this end, our efforts include presentations to public and private school students and staff; instructing parents on how to access and best utilize existing care, treatment, and adult transitional resources; training staff, parents and those with autism for travel, and utilization of transportation; collaborative tutoring of autistic students with s.t.e.m. Skills.

$123KPromoting and accessing workshops and guidelines and approaches for caregivers, teachers and treating professionals in increasing social and vocational copeability skills; ongoing education of government officials and policymakers on needs and realistic expectations of those with autism; and finally, fostering establishment of a full continuum of appropriate programs and services.
