The mission of bcm's charitable services division is to provide the spiritual dimension of healing in an interfaith environment. Since 1996, bcm has been providing chaplaincy services in local healthcare & criminal justice institutions. Rev. Larry johnson serves as vice-president of chaplaincy services. Under rev. Johnson's leadership, 1 chaplain serves in a hospital in st. Tammany, 1 chaplain serves in a rehabilitation facility, 4 chaplains serve across all districts of the nopd, & 1 chaplain serves with the 911 call center. These professionally trained chaplains provided pastoral care to over 116,000 individuals. Bcm's congregational wellness division provides support, training, & resources to area congregations & faith communities in an effort to establish impactful wellness ministries. For 20 years, congregational wellness has worked with faith communities to address emerging health issues including chronic disease & access to healthcare & behavorial health.
