$120KYouth baseball:founded in 2022, black men coalition youth baseball (bmc-yb) is committed to revitalizing the game of baseball within the dane county community. Bmc's goal is to level the playing field by providing a free youth baseball program where registration, equipment and travel are provided at no cost to all participants. Bmc believes that baseball teaches a skill set that is different from any other sport. A skill set that is much needed in underserved communities. The bmc-yb league will focus primarily on black youth; teaching players the game, equipping the players with the skills and resources needed. Our mentorship teaches our youth the mindset needed to overcome obstacles and to be resilient in the face of adversity.

$71KFinancial literacy:we are dedicated to empowering individuals through comprehensive financial literacy classes. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment that promotes community development and equips participants with the essential skills needed for independent living. We believe that financial education is a crucial step toward achieving stability and long-term success, especially for vulnerable populations such as previously incarcerated individuals, black men and women, and the youth.our financial literacy programs are designed to provide practical knowledge and actionable steps to help participants navigate their financial journeys. We offer a variety of classes that cover key financial topics and help you make a change.financial literacy in the dane county jail is a partnership between the sheriff's office and summit credit union. Summit credit union facilitates the cohorts with bmc. Financial literacy cohorts offered to the general community occur through a partnership with bmo bank, which facilitates community cohorts with bmc.

$67KHousing:black men coalition foundation is developing a supported employment housing development that will offer a vertically integrated program of employment, transportation, financial literacy, and employment housing. By unifying services, there is a more robust local economy through gainful employment, peer mentorships, concentrated case management, and built-in accountability.
