Those funds were carefully dispersed so this community was able to rebuild and return their lives to a more reasonable condition.

$69KRegion: bluefields bay, jamaicapurpose: funds were used to ensure that the public bluefields beach remains in place. Frequent storms would typically wash the sand entirely away leaving a totally rocky shore so that beachgoers were unable to access the sea with any level of comfortoutcome: the preservation of beach sand got accomplished by our constructing a large groyne out of gabion baskets filled with rocks to prevent the escape of that sand. This has been in large part quite successful thus far.
