These activities included 43 educational workshops on important topics such as access to healthcare, tenant rights, financial literacy, immigration basics, and more. 20 membership meetings where members learned about campaigns, shared resources, supported one another, and built power as a community, and 17 campaign and advocacy activities such as rallies, marches, creative actions, press conferences, trips to albany, and meetings with elected officials. Our membership was particularly active in supporting the #unemploymentbridgeprogram campaign (to create an unemployment program for excluded workers) and #coverage4all (to provide health insurance to all immigrant new yorkers), in addition to continued advocacy for broader immigration reform on the federal level.
