CALIFORNIA COUNCIL OF DADS CLUB

Community improvement the sequoia dads' club supports the school community through a variety of community-building projects that benefit students, teachers, and the community. We help families to build connections at our annual welcome picnic and other social events and by publishing the annual school directory. We sponsor workshops where guest speakers address topics that are relevant to the community. We support involvement in and access to our parent group meetings by providing childcare and light dinners at evening meetings. We provide both funds and sweat equity to keep our school building and grounds in good condition. (please see schedule o for further details) on the school grounds, our work includes installing major garden improvements, maintaining our irrigation system, and keeping gardens mulched, weeded and healthy. We help teachers with projects that they identify inside the buildings, including painting areas that need freshening up, and building or installing amenities such as cubbies, shelves, and coat hooks. We also provide direct funding for classroom needs such as technology purchases, field trips, and classroom supplies.
