$7KWith many Sanctuary residents fragile due to age or medical conditions heating and cooling proves to be a large expense. Maintenance and upkeep of structures that house rescued animals likewise takes time vigilance and money. This year brought a partial patching and replacement of the horse barn floor.

$5KTransportation costs in support of animal care includes hauling hay and other supplies and driving to medical appointments. Because one horse has a metabolic condition he requires timothy hay. Timothy hay happens to be more expensive and farther away than "regular hay."
