$604KCommunications and internet media/ public affairs: global ethics day (ged): launched in 2014, ged serves as an annual moment to empower ethics through the actions of individuals and organizations. To date, citizens, schools, nonprofits, and businesses from over 100 countries have participated in the day of ethical action. Ged 2025 will take place on october 15 with the theme of #ethicsre-envisioned. Unlocking cooperation is the council's keynote public event series convening global experts to analyze obstacles hindering effective multilateralism and identify new pathways to enhance international collaboration. To date, the series has addressed key questions related to the global north-south divide, the intersection of climate change and migration, governance for emerging technologies, and threats from authoritarian actors.

$245KPrint and publication: ethics & international affairs (eia): the quarterly academic journal of carnegie council published with cambridge university press. Each year, eia is home to paradigm-shifting scholarship, research, and ethical discussions. In 2025, eia articles are projected to receive over 200,000 downloads and will be featured insyllabi across 30 countries; 2025 also marked the first year for eia as an open-access resource.

$44KClimate geoengineering governanace project: carnegie ethics accelerator: too often, new public policies, technologies, and products are developed, deployed, and co-opted with haste by actors who view ethics as an encumbrance rather than a requisite. In response to this moment, the council developed the carnegie ethics accelerator: an incubator to empower ethics in the face of swiftly evolving challenges in technology and geopolitics.
