CARRIZO PLAIN CONSERVANCY

The organization partnered with another local nonprofit organization to host the sixth Carrizo Colloquium in late October 2024. This is a conference in which persons involved in research regarding biology, geology, and other aspects of the natural environment of Carrizo Plain National Monument and surrounding areas can report on the research and findings for interested individuals and groups. The Colloquium was held in Atascadero, California, was attended by about 60-70 persons and was considered highly successful. The organization spent a total of $3,000 on the event, including costs of the venue, preparation costs, drinks and refreshments, and publicity. This matched two donations totaling $3,000 received in support of the event.
