CARROLL COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL INC

Between july 1, 2023 and june 30, 2024, the carroll county arts council produced a diverse array of arts and cultural activities and programs including live performances, gallery exhibits, classes, and festivals. Live events included our sunday classics series, headliner series, brewhaha comedy series, swingin songs jazz series, common ground on the hill (partnership with maryland folklife center) and special holiday programming. The arts council also featured a documentary film series, a foreign film festival, black american film festival, and free outdoor summer movie series. Gallery exhibits included meticulous, senior inspirations, 21st annual members show, arigato, youth art month, hop art, and punked: art in rebellion. Classes and workshops include: make it & take it, painting 101, needle felt, basket weaving, teen independent art studio, figure drawing and two full-scale musical productions with our elementary and middle school childrens theatre troupe. Additional festivals and special events include the gallery of gifts, festival of wreaths, marshmallow peepshow, art in the park, taneytown artisan fest, and playwright festival.
