TRANSPARENCY AND LITIGATION: Our Transparency program advances our mission of providing access to information and transparency intended to have more knowledgeable citizens capable of holding the powerful accountable. The Transparency Program team works with the support of the Legal Clinic of the Inter-American University School of Law, including litigation when necessary. We have also hired an in house lawyer to work on research, advise and strategic litigation cases, community outreach, and offering workshops on access to information. Additionally, our team published the first searchable database of public documents regarding the Fiscal Control Board in Puerto Rico, a unique and valuanle data instrument for journalists, researchers, policymakers, academics, transparency organizations and other groups.
