Cp3 supported douglas county child welfare in exploring options to create housing for cw-involved families. This included trying to bring a iron tribe to douglas, but also working with local housing partners to explore options.

Program 2

Cp3 worked with marion county child welfare to develop a family time transportation pilot to provide paid transportation to child family visits for children and families. More child-family visits reinforce attachment and can lead to faster family reunification. The transportation pilot relied on a local nemt transportation provider, collaborating with local dhs to transport children and families to family time. Cp3 funded the pilot which began in march 2024 and ends in september 2025. The piloted demonstrated effective results and the program is currently transitioning to local ownership and funding.

Other program services areas include revisiting efforts in douglas county, including hosting a community building session in mar 2024 to develop our strategy going forward, pursuing family unification (fup) vouchers for douglas county in partnership with housing authority of douglas county (hadco), and supporting dialogue between rural schools, the coc and the umpqua public transit district (uptd in douglas county and odhs.
