This includes providing educational support and scholarships to eligible alaska native students who are original shareholders or direct lineal descendants of the chugach alaska corporation. Support services include, but are not limited to, providing support in navigating the education process, assistance in meeting prerequisites, connecting students to other alaska native students through a variety of activities, supporting the transition to urban areas, providing competitive and non-competitive scholarships, and collaborating with other alaska native educational organizations and educational institutions statewide to support the success of alaska native students.

Nuuciq spirit camp: chf operates a regional cultural camp that is held on the historical village site of nuchek to provide opportunities for students, elders, and instructors to share and learn the native arts, lifestyle, and language of the chugach region.

Program 3

Cultural programs: the foundation operates a variety of cultural programs to provide opportunities for the current and future generations to learn traditional alaska native knowledge and skill sets of the chugach region. The classes and events promote heritage preservation and celebration. Specialty courses include teaching alaska native history, traditional native crafts, dance, music, construction of traditional boats, and teaching and preserving the languages and dialects of the chugach region. The foundation supports communities in the operation of their own regional cultural camps with planning, administrative, and program support.
