Compound programs provide local artist showcases, ongoing contemporary art exhibits, drawing classes for children and families, cultural workshops, poetry writing workshops, film screenings, and music based on artistic merit and socially relevant subject matter, youth-led journalism, and media training. Many programs are available for no or low cost. Compound is w.a.g.e. (working artists and the greater economy) certified. W.a.g.e. Is an organization that advocates for artists receiving fair compensation for the exhibition of their work. W.a.g.e. Publicly recognizes those nonprofit arts organizations demonstrating a commitment to voluntarily paying artists fees that meet w.a.g.e. Payment standards.
