DARTON HEALTH PROFESSIONS FOUNDATIO

The foundation conducted seminars, webinars, and educational sessions focused on financial literacy, financial planning for the new graduate, career development, and professional growth and accepted over 1,140 scholarship and grant applications, awarding approximately 75 scholarships and additional financial resources to support independent study, scientific research, and the pursuit of healthcare-related careers. Additionally, the foundation, its staff, and board, maintains significant involvement with scholarship recipients by providing ongoing mentorship, degree progression monitoring, and offering job placement counseling. Through these efforts, the foundation supports workforce development, reduces poverty, enhances access to healthcare, and helps address critical workforce shortages in the education and healthcare sectors.

During the reporting period, the foundation delivered a broad range of digital and in-person educational programs to support the ongoing professional development of both educators and healthcare professionals. These programs included accredited continuing education units (ceus) and targeted training sessions aimed at enhancing professional competencies, meeting licensure requirements, and addressing current challenges within their respective fields. In total, approximately 434 educators and healthcare professionals participated in these offerings. Through these initiatives, the foundation not only assisted participants in obtaining essential ceus but also deepened their understanding of the foundation's commitment to addressing critical workforce issues and expanding charitable activities in education, literacy, scientific research, and the promotion of educational opportunities.
