Global initiatives: global initiatives is the international ministry arm of david c cook that aids the dissemination of its resources internationally. There are three main areas of focus: evangelism, bible engagement, and discipleship for children.life on life curriculum. One of the most important responsibilities of the church today is to care for vulnerable children around the world who are at risk due to poverty, abuse, abandonment, or conflict in the home or community. While many good programs exist to help them with physical needs like food, shelter and education, far too little is done to address their significant emotional, social and spiritual needs. Through global initiatives, we provide a holistic curriculum that fosters inner healing for children with wounded hearts. We've co-created and contextualized the curriculum with church partners to meet the unique needs of each region. Currently, almost two million children are participating in this discipleship program, which nurtures life transformation in both children and ministry leaders. We also provide a short crisis-response curriculum for adults to help children cope with trauma they have experienced due to earthquakes, outbreaks of illness like ebola and covid, and crises that have forced them to become refugees.evangelism and bible engagement. The action bible is a graphic novel-style version of the bible that contains 215 stories beautifully drawn by an experienced dc and marvel comic artist. It has spawned several related resources, including the story of jesus, a 16- or 24-page booklet containing a clear gospel message, as well as action bible videos. Over 55 million copies of the story of jesus have been distributed in many countries and languages around the world. The action bible new testament is now being used as the religious instruction manual for public school children in guatemala.
