Olden years program our golden years program is dedicated to assisting the elderly with mobility, wellness, nourishment, socialization, and personal care. The program will include group gatherings and classes at 12 saint josen road (the devito watson foundation center) once it has been renovated. Classes so far have been held exclusively off- site. While off-site classes will continue to be held, so as to enable seniors who may be homebound or confined to a nursing home or senior living facility to participate, we look forward to holding classes at the devito watson foundation center. We offer functional mobility classes, meet-and-greet events for seniors, nutritional support, weekly check-ins, assistance with medical appointment bookings, senior exercise classes, and spiritual counseling. The program also offers services such as meal delivery, nutritional supplementation delivery, nurse consultations by phone, a 24-7 emergency line and aide visitation. Veterans support program our veterans support program focuses on assisting men and women who have returned from service to obtain occupations and housing. Our goal is to help veterans with their transition into life after services, by offering a hands on and direct approach. Tasks such as resune building, submission of job applicationss, interview training, employer introductions, career fairs, and housing acquisition are at the forefront of this program. We provide seminars, workshops and individuals meetings with local veterans. Uniforms, suits and other workplace essentials are provided to veterans as needed once we have successfully helped them to obtain employment. The program is offered to all participants free of charge. In addition, we honor veterans as part of the program, offering events which usually include food and giveways for veterans on veterans day and during the holidays. Scholarship-mentoring program we offer annual scholarships as part of our scholarship- mentoring program. We provide scholarships in the following four categories: (1) academic performance (2) artistic performance (3) community service (4) special needs as part of the program, our scholarship receipents receive ongoing mentoring, tutoring, and quarterly performance check-ins. Our goal is to help keep our scholarship receipients supported with the ongoing resources that they need to excel. We are the active partner with the students we serve, providing them with important ongoing resources that they need in order to maimize their potential. We act as more than a mere financial backer, and rather we invest our time in the students that we are serving, to help ensure a brighter future for them.
