Program 1
$1.8MEmployment Assistance -- This service group provides job training, readiness, placement, retention and case management services designed to address barriers to education, employment and self sufficiency success. TANF and food stamp recipients and eligible youth receive these services to assist them in entering and staying in the work place. Service estimates included 485 enrollments, 266 positive case resolutions and $51,390 in direct supportive services for welfare recipients. There were 40 case resolutions from 101 participants, and $15,788 in direct supportive services for food stamp recipients. Approximately $59,964 in wages was provided to 16 youth engaging in employment training opportunities. In addition to work place assistance, the youth received $8,214 in direct supportive services. Sixty-four participants received intensive case management targeted towards completion of education and involvement community service activities. Eighty two students received over 927 hours of tutoring for Hi-SET/GED testing. Throughout this year 5 students achieved their HiSET and 6 students graduated high school whill enrolled in the Employment and Training Program utilizing tutoring assistance.

$1.8MEmergency Food and Housing -- This service group provides housing, food and other emergency services to eligible recipients. Transitional living services helped homeless pregnant and/or parenting youth, ages 18-21 into a safe living environment. Housing services consist of counseling, emergency payments, and housing placement services to assist low income and homeless populations. Approximately 265 individuals completed Homebuyer Education, 293 individuals received homebuyer pre-purchase counseling, and 468 individuals received rental counseling and 128 indivduals received Budget Counseling. Housing programs aided 151 households in receiving Section 8 housing valued at $946,707. Approximately $119,130 was provided to 112 households in the form of housing payments and supportive services to assist clients in maintaining or moving into permanent housing. Fourty six households received deposit assistance totaling $39,756. Through housing navigation 537 familes who were experiencing homelessness or facing eviction recevied services to connect them to resources in our community. The Youth Homelss Demonstration Projecter served 42 participants with Case Management and Housing Navigation Services. The participants received $3,292 in direct supportive services, $5,450 in rental deposits, and $23,425 in rent payments. Harmony House served 7 pregnant and parenting youth. Family Forwards served 68 participants which were able to obtain/maintain housing. Food assistance is provided through the distribution of food to eligible families living on the Crow Indian Reservation. Monthly, food commodities were distributed to approximately 338 individuals or 155 Crow Tribe families for a total annual value of $246,489.
