College student scholarships - the organization provided 1,500 scholarships to eligible college students who participated in the internship program.

Early career training program - nominated staff members with less than three years of newsroom experience working for participating newsrooms were selected to participate online training once a week for four weeks, and travel to two-day in-person sessions at the beginning and end of the program. The organization covered training and lodging costs; newsrooms paid travel costs.

High school summer journalism workshops - the organization provided funding to 10 educational institutions to host summer journalism workshops for high school students. They also awarded 1,500 scholarships to several high school students who won a writing competition.
