$1.2MHarwood park:continuing its focus on building parks and green space in downtown dallas, the conservancy worked collaboratively with the city of dallas park and recreation department to acquire the land, design, and build harwood park -- a 3.8 acre park in the vibrant east quarter neighborhood near dallas farmers market. What was once surface parking and asphalt is now a beloved park with a striking playground, interactive fountain, performance space, dog runs, and a rain garden. Final construction punch list activity concluded in 2024.

$130KCivic garden:downtown dallas parks conservancy, in partnership with the city of dallas park and recreation department, dallas news corp., maureen h. And robert w. Decherd, designed and managed the construction of civic garden, which opened to the public in may 2012 and was the second park in the 2004 downtown parks master plan to be completed. In 2018, downtown dallas parks conservancy renewed an agreement with the city of dallas park and recreation department to oversee specific aspects of this park's maintenance. In 2024, the conservancy oversaw maintenance of the interactive fountain, managed a robust arbor care program, and maintained hundreds of native and adaptive perennials in the gardens.

$28KCarpenter parkdowntown dallas parks conservancy works collaboratively with the city of dallas park and recreation department to support carpenter park, a park that underwent a more than $20 million renovation between 2020-2022 thanks to this public-private partnership. In addition to ongoing conservation of the public art, "portal park slice" by the late robert irwin, the conservancy launched a robust arbor care program in 2024 to care for the 146 trees the conservancy planted during the parks' construction.

$52KPacific plazadowntown dallas parks conservancy works collaboratively with the city of dallas park and recreation department to support pacific plaza, a park that replaced a surface parking lot and was developed by the conservancy in partnership with the department. In 2024, the conservancy invested in hundreds of native and adaptive plants for the park, planted 7 new trees, and made drainage improvements to the main lawn.
