EASTERN IDAHO COMMUNITY ACTION

Housing -eastern idaho community action partnership, inc. (eicap) currently owns ten properties, providing a total of 323 units of housing. Seven properties, including a single home and triplex, are designated for family housing and provide 231 units of safe and affordable housing for families. The remaining three properties are designated as senior housing and provide 92 units to house persons who are 62 or over or handicapped or disabled, and meet income and tenant selection criteria. Senior services - the mission of our senior services program is to empower individuals aged 60 and older to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes and communities. In fiscal year 2024, we proudly served 6,218 older adults and caregivers through a wide range of essential services. Our offerings included: in-home support services, caregiver assistance, and respite care; health and wellness education through self-management workshops; nutrition support via congregate and home-delivered meals; information and assistance calls connecting seniors and caregivers to vital resources. We also provided 21,090 transportation boardings, ensuring access to medical appointments, grocery stores, and community activities.in addition to direct services: our adult protection team investigated 703 reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation; our ombudsman program conducted 97 consultations to advocate for residents in long-term care; through legal aid, we delivered 275 hours of legal advice, counseling, and representation.volunteers played a meaningful role in our mission, with one volunteer supporting ombudsman services and three volunteers facilitating our chronic disease and chronic pain self-management programs and one supported our caregiver and grandparents raising grandchildren groups. We remain committed to maximizing current funding streams while actively pursuing new partnerships and innovative solutions to expand our reach and impact. Our work continues to be guided by the belief that every older adult deserves to age with respect, support, and opportunity.

Family services - eastern idaho community action partnership, inc.'s family services department offers wrap-around services for the entire family including energy assistance, rental assistance, tuition assistance, and nutritional food assistance from our three food pantries. We assisted 4,813 households during the fiscal year. The energy assistance program provides critical support to low-income households, helping reduce energy insecurity and alleviate financial strain. Rental assistance supports low-income households at risk of eviction. This program helps households remain stably housed during periods of financial hardship. The tuition assistance program empowers individuals to pursue education and workforce development opportunities by providing financial support for tuition. Participants gain marketable skills and increase long-term earning potential. Food pantries address food insecurity among low-income individuals and families by providing access to nutritious groceries and essential household items. Eicap's food.
