The English Connection program provides a safe, accepting environment that serves not only as an English for Speakers of Other Languages program, but also as a bridge into the community at large by providing the tools for communication necessary to access employment, essential services, and safe housing. The overarching goal of the English Connection program is to provide a safe, welcoming environment where our students can learn necessary English skills and be empowered to engage and exchange dialogue within their community. We know that our community and city is only strengthened by our growing immigrant population, and we believe that providing access to learning skills that allow effective and confident communication is a basic human right.
