$3.4MConference:- the ena leadership conference was revamped to include two tracks, one for ena leaders and another for emergency department leaders, drawing 400 members to tampa, florida, in january.- more than 4,000 nurses attended emergency nursing 2024 in las vegas in september for education, networking and celebrating, with digital access to education content available for purchase for several months after the event.- the emergency nursing week virtual 5k drew more than 1,100 participants, who raised $37,800 with proceeds benefiting the ena foundation.

$2.7MMembership:- ena partnered with naylor to unveil an improved ena career center and increased valuable resources for members.- a record 94 emergency departments were recognized with lantern awards.

$4.2MAdvocacy:- ena supported passage of federal laws that would have a positive impact on emergency patients and on nurses, including the dr. Lorna breen health care provider protection reauthorization act, the emergency medical services for children program reauthorization act and the nursing faculty shortage reduction act. - ena's government relations staff also supported ena council leaders in their efforts to advance state legislation.- the annual day on the hill in washington, d.c., helped prepare more than 150 nurses to meet with their lawmakers and congressional staff about ena's legislative priorities, as well as to continue their efforts throughout the year.- ena hosted a congressional briefing, featuring the american nurses association and american college of emergency physicians, to discuss workplace violence causes and impact in the ed, and to press for passage of related legislation.- ena president chris dellinger and ena staff participated in the second agency for healthcare research and quality summit to address ed boarding in washington, d.c.partnerships and relationships:- ena joined the american nurses association national workplace violence prevention committee.- the emergency medical services for children program, in collaboration with ena and society of trauma nurses, developed the updated pediatric interfacility transfer guide.research:- the journal of emergency nursing devoted its september issue to workplace culture and overall nurse wellness.- ena launched a five-year longitudinal study of workplace violence experienced by emergency nurses.- the ena-led research papers "validation of emergency nurse practitioner competencies: patient complexity and clinical decision-making and "establishing triage competencies and verification processes: a survey study" were published online in the journal of emergency nursing.
