The dc family engagement partnership (fep) is an intensive, school-wide intervention designed to support student success by transforming the ways educators and families collaborate with one another. Fep uses an intensive principal and educator capacity-building model, including teacher training, school leader coaching, and professional development. Building flamboyan foundation's national familyengagement strategy, the foundation supports local actors in diverse geographic sites across the united states with deepening their knowledge about effective family engagement, supporting fellows to understand their context, facilitating a process for fellows to launch and implement a family engagement focused strategic plan, and building a national community of practice focused on effective family engagement.

$741KStrengthening k-3 reading: reading proficiency by third grade is a cornerstone of future academic success. By promoting k-3 reading comprehension in puerto rico, this program has an explicit goal of more students reading at grade level by 3rd grade. The foundation works hand-in-hand with teachers, school directors, administrators, researchers and policymakers to identify the greatest challenges to successfully teach reading in kindergarten through third grade, and then partners with them to create solutions.

$637KFlamboyan arts fund: preserving, amplifying, and sustaining the arts in puerto rico, the flamboyan arts fund supports all facets of the arts community, including music, theater, visual arts, dance, literature, and youth arts education, to ensure that the arts and culture continue to flourish during the rebuilding of puerto rico.
