FORT WORTH CRADLE TO CAREER

Postsecondary pathways - the postsecondary pathways department supports the t3 mission and the vision for the future of tarrant county students by providing holistic college and career advising/navigation to high school students. Our program pairs advisors with students who will walk alongside them to develop an informed plan for after high school (aligned to their strengths and interests) and executes their plan once they reach their senior year in high school. In addition to our student programming, our team also exists to partner closely with district and campus-based staff to provide thought partnership, coaching, and resources to support overall college and career readiness. To date, our department has supported over 44,000 students in high school, with over 5,000 of those students already entering and getting support through college.

Mentor/workforce development - over the past year, the t3 workforce development department has made significant progress in advancing student success and workforce readiness. We are proud to report the graduation of 7 students from the t3 healthcare career skills academy, marking a crucial step in preparing individuals for careers in healthcare. We hired three new career coaches to enhance our support for students, bringing valuable expertise to guide students on their career paths. This expansion allows us to provide more personalized and practical support, ensuring that each student is well-equipped to achieve their goals. Our commitment to professional development is reflected in completing the national association of colleges and employers (nace) career coach training by our workforce development and family engagement teams. Additionally, participation in the workforce gps career coaching "train the trainer" series has strengthened our coaching capabilities. Recognizing the importance of long-term career preparation, we developed the career journey and durable skills curriculum. This new program focuses on building essential, transferable skills like communication and problem-solving, ensuring our students are prepared for sustained success across various industries. These achievements highlight our dedication to empowering students and enhancing workforce readiness. We look forward to continuing this momentum in the coming year.

Family alliance - the tarrant to & through (t3) partnership remains steadfast in its mission to increase the number of students in tarrant county pursuing education beyond high school. We aim to equip every student with the necessary training and skills to thrive in today's workforce. A crucial component of this effort is the t3 family engagement program, which is pivotal in empowering families to support their students' educational journeys. The past school year has been a landmark period for the t3 family alliance program. All participating schools have successfully achieved their family alliance goals, a testament to the collaborative efforts between our schools, families, and the t3 team. Notably, 1,834 families are now actively engaged in the t3 family alliance, demonstrating a significant increase in family involvement and commitment to their students' futures. Recognizing the importance of targeted support and financial planning for families, t3 has made strategic staffing enhancements to better serve our community. A new college savings associate has been hired to spearhead managing and promoting 529 accounts. This role is crucial in guiding families through saving for college, ensuring that students have the financial resources they need to pursue higher education. The family engagement team has also been strengthened by adding a new family engagement associate, expanding the team to three members. This increase in staffing capacity allows for more personalized and comprehensive support for the families we serve, further bolstering our impact across the county. In response to the growing demand for our services, the t3 family engagement program has expanded to include new schools, significantly broadening our reach. The program now supports 15 schools, up from 8 in the previous year. The newly added schools include irma marsh in castleberry, leonard middle school, od wyatt, dunbar, eastern hills, and 9th-grade centers in crowley isd. This expansion ensures that more families across tarrant county have access to the vital resources and support provided by t3, helping to build stronger educational foundations for their students. The t3 family alliance program continues to be a cornerstone of our efforts to support student success through family engagement. With the past year's achievements, including the fulfillment of family alliance goals, staffing enhancements, and program expansion, t3 is better positioned than ever to assist families in navigating the educational landscape. We remain committed to empowering families and ensuring that every student in tarrant county has the opportunity to pursue and succeed in higher education. This report highlights the significant strides we have made in our mission, and we look forward to building on these successes in the coming year.

Ambassador - the t3 ambassador positions at the tarrant to & through partnership (t3) are part-time student peer-leader positions for t3 scholars currently enrolled at a t3 partner university. This position contributes to the t3 mission by cultivating connection and academic support for fellow t3 scholars at the t3 partner university community. Our 14 t3 ambassadors represent 7 different universities, and work to assist students in their transition to college, success in the classroom, and belonging at their respective t3 partner universities. T3 ambassadors strive to assure that t3 scholars feel connected and welcomed into their university community by facilitating communication and programming. The t3 ambassadors work closely with t3 college success staff to maintain a level of consistency within their role and expectations.
