Monthly donations to Member Relief and Masonic Home (LYPMGC)

New Smyrna Masonic Lodge No. 149 was able to maintain its monetary level of charitable giving from $13,771 in 2023 to $13,813 in 2024. The Lodge also provided sound system components with an estimated current value of $2,075 to Kids Rock the Nation which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to provide musical instruments and mentorship to children with a desire to learn about musical performances. The Lodge provided support to develop a nonprofit Masonic Library for promoting masonic education and scholarships to graduating High School seniors to further their education or attend trade school. The Masonic Library received its letter of determination 501(c)(3) from the Department of Treasury Internal Revenue Service dated September 12, 2024. The Lodge provided the following persons or nonprofit organizations with charity donations:Scholarships to 3 High School seniors $6,000Disaster Relief for Hurricane victims 250Brother Relief 500Monthly donations to local nonprofits 2,400Local food donations to needy families 291Scouting and youth organizations 2,000Masonic Home for Masons nonprofit 1,871Masonic Library support to obtain nonprofit status 500 Total Charity Donations for 2024 $13,813As part of restoring and repairing our 95 year old Historical Landmark Lodge building we upgraded the sound system, replaced the oven ventilation hood, repaired the refrigerator, and restored other miscellaneous items at a cost of $8,698.
