In 2024 we supported various science and engineering nonprofit education institutions including San Diego Childrens Discovery Museum North County Education Foundation Expanding Your Horizons-San Diego Ocean Discovery Institute Girls Rising San Diego Natural History Museum Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego A Step Beyond All Girls STEM Society Air & Space Forces Association UCSD Birch Aquarium and Greater Than Tech.

Program 2

In 2024 the GASSSS program supported 100 engineers and scientists reimbursing $22,000 for science and engineering materials. These professionals engaged in various activities reaching around 6,000 students through career mentoring demonstrations lessons support and robotics club mentoring.

Program 3

The General Atomics Sciences Education Foundation provided support for the Innovations for Learning Inc. Chapter One literacy program at the New Haven School District in Union City California area first grade classrooms where 21 General Atomics employees provided on-line tutoring of students in reading and science stories during the 2024-2025 school year and in Denver Colorado area schools where 17 General Atomics employees participated in this program during the 2023-2024 school year.

Program 4

The General Atomics Sciences Education Foundation also judged and provided awards at the 2024 Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair. The Foundation also organized and provided support for 2024 outreach activities at the Apple Valley airshow San Diego Fleet Week the X-STEM San Diego event San Diego Engineers Week awards banquet March Air Force Base airshow and the San Marcos Multi-Industry Connect to Careers event.
