Encore ministry foundation, in partnership with ut chattanoogas school of nursing, hosted two older adult ministry training events in 2024 in memphis and clarksville. Dozens of participants, both in person and via live streaming, listened to area experts speak on topics such as healthy aging, older adult ministry, congregational caregiving, legal issues, and emergency preparedness. Throughout 2024, a monthly online learning series featured area experts discussing topics such as building community with older adults, embracing aging, spiritual invitations at the end of life, living a legacy, and navigating ministry and social isolation.

Grants made by encore ministry foundation helped fund a variety of projects benefiting older adults. Grants given in 2024 supported: a pavilion and campfire renovation project at beersheba springs assembly lunch and learn programs for aging in place and leaving a legacy food pantry and food distribution programs restroom and parking lot renovations to improve accessibility in and around churches older adult day programs and ministries focused on spiritual, mental, and physical health
