Grassroots and direct lobbying: glss directed a substantial proportion of its time and resources to the advocacy of legislative and regulatory solutions in arizona that (1) protect and expand parental choice; (2) encourage school autonomy and classroom innovation by administrators and teachers; (3) enhance students' ability to access quality schools; and (4) fortify accountability measures to ensure that tax dollars are used efficiently, effectively, and transparently connects funding levels to student achievement.
