Program 1
$176KResources to the community: Aided 378 low income families with assistance including information related to labor rights, housing, medical services, driver licenses and connecting them with other local, regional non-profits and governmental entities. Site visit to 112 ranch and farm workers including those with H2A visas to share information about labor matters. Facilitated the Aging Mastery Program for Spanish speaking older adults and coordinated 12 educative session to prevent domestic violence and sexual assaults issues impacting mainly Spanish speaking women. Organized 10 community events in Montrose and Mesa county, as facilitating the base group "Inmigrantes Unidos de Gunnison" (IUG). More than 550 people participated in our activities. HAP dedicated staff capacity to support over 26 asylum seekers in many needs including transportation for their immigration court hearings. HAP provided assistance to 17 workers applying for the Benefit Recovery Fund (BRF) under the direction of the CDLE/unemployment benefit program, and made extensive media education about this program in CO.

$90KPartnership and collaboration: participated in 6 local/regional committees to advance immigrant integration and coordinated with other non-profit agencies and governmental entities looking to reach out their constituencies. The Gunnison Immigrant Integration Plan was finalized in collaboration with the city of Gunnison and 500 families are reported as impacted directly for this collaboration. A new partnership with the Recreational District of the city of Montrose was initiated to increase the engagement of immigrant families to understand pertinent use of local resources, such as the access to the public land, reaching 110 families.
