$3.2MHbk incubates, small business programhbk incubates, hot bread kitchen's small business development program, supports food entrepreneurs to transform their business ideas into sources of sustainable income and long-term wealth generation. The program offers three pillars, tailored to the needs of small food businesses at every stage of growth: seed is a self-paced pre-incubation course, covering the fundamentals of owning and operating a food business; start is an incubator program for food entrepreneurs who are ready to test their business model; scale is an accelerator program for entrepreneurs whose food businesses are poised for growth, which connects them to capital providers. In 2024, hbk incubates served 167 entrepreneurs across all three pillars.

$2.2MCommunity engagement & member supportcentral to hot bread kitchen's mission is offering holistic wraparound support in tandem with all of our programs, to ensure that our members can access community resources to increase their wellness, support systems, and safety. We offer individualized case management, and referrals within a network of 240+ community partners for further services. We also offer direct financial assistance to mitigate emergencies that may prevent our members from completing our programs or accessing job placement. In 2024, we provided over $18,000 in emergency funding to our members to address needs such as rental arrears, childcare, transportation, food assistance, job interview clothing, and more.
