HOWIE STILLMAN FOUNDATION

Hsylf runs two programs on an annual basis; the annual lecture and the leadership award. The fund sponsors an annual lecture given by a prominent journalist. This lecture is in recognition of howie's aspiring career as a journalist. The howie stillman leadership award was established to recognize a high school senior for their leadership qualities. Nominees are selected on a number of criteria including involvement in united synagogue youth; educational, community and school-related activities and personal qualities of warmth and concern for others. This award is an attempt to honor a high school senior who demonstrates these qualities in the spirit of someone who embraced them so well.
