Keeping people and animals together: it is heartbreaking to see loving owners lose, or be forced to surrender, their cherished pets due to life circumstances beyond their control. Shelters and rescues are already overcrowded, and displaced companion animals are adding to the problem. We provide support to pet owners in need, enabling animals to stay in their loving homes and reuniting them with their owners when separation occurs. In 2024, we provided support to the military community, covering the costs of pet foster care and medical expenses to prevent owner surrender before and during owner deployments. We also contributed to disaster relief efforts in north carolina after hurricane helene, providing emergency veterinary care to animals whose families had become displaced.
