California justice leaderscjl is a first-of-its kind americorps program intentionally designed for justice-involved young adults. Members embark on one-year paid service terms. They're matched with local non-profits working in the reentry space and provide education and mentorship to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youth.the housing labthe housing lab has three primary objectives: -matching formerly incarcerated people with safe and stable housing in the community through our groundbreaking homecoming project in california-investing in organizations across the country who are seeking to refine or scale their own reentry housing programs through the national housing incubator-supporting the individual wellness, personal growth, and community integration of formerly incarcerated people and their loved ones through the center

Program 2

$2.3M

Impact innovationsprojects in impact innovations offer new, groundbreaking ideas to accelerate justice system change through a wide range of programming including research, direct service, community partnerships and more. Innovation projects include the rac, food justice work, and other emerging programs. The rac partners with community service providers, government agencies, and key stakeholders across the country to research, evaluate, and support implementation of the most effective and innovative practices. Recognizing the ways in which intersecting layers of marginalization can compound adverse system impacts, the rac maintains a critical focus on racial and ethnic disparities and the impacts of sexual orientation and gender identity and expression throughout every stage of the research process. Growing justice & food justice programs are designed to tackle two problems at once: the striking lack of fresh, healthy food in prison and in the lower income communities most incarcerated people come from and return to.
