These members represented a wide array of positions and debated numerous contemporary and historical topics of international significance. Members prepared extensively by researching positions committees and topics. They spent 4 days in Philadelphia debating issues for 2-10 hours a day and proposed potential solutions to them. They garnered experience in public speaking negotiation debate and a greater awareness of international affairs policy making and the functioning of the United Nations.
