Program 1

$66K

The diaper bank of north georgia is a league initiative to assist families struggling to afford diapers by collecting, purchasing and distributing diapers to partner agencies who work directly with families in need in the community.

Program 2

$56K

Agency assistance is dedicated to projects that promote the well-being of children and families. As an active volunteer organization of more than three hundred women, the league has a rich tradition of providing volunteers for projects assisting women and children in the community. As part of her annual member requirements, each member volunteers for a done- in-a-day project with a local agency, and the league awards funds to support these projects. The league also continually looks for ways to partner with other organizations to enrich the impact of programs offered to women and children. The league provides funding to other organizations and civic clubs by awarding a portion of funds raised from its annual charity ball to supporting organizations and clubs. Additionally, the league reserves a percentage of its endowment funds to award a signature grant every five years to a deserving non-profit agency program or major league project.

Program 3

$13K

Feeding our future is an outreach program designed to supply chronically hungry children and their families with meals. The league operates a food pantry as part of this program and hosts regular food box distributions in conjunction with events to promote health and well-being of children. Spac is the state public affairs committee. This committee is made of two members of the league in coordination with other leagues in the state. The purpose of this committee is to advocate for interests of women and children in accordance with its position statements and community focus areas. The committee is responsible for educating and encouraging participation by the membership in matters of legislative affairs concerning women and children.
