$7.7MA grant was obtained to develop and implement a centralized naloxone distribution program in partnership with community pharmacies and utilizing the mobile pharmacy to dispense naloxone atomizers to combat opioid deaths in kentucky. As a companion to this program, the department of public health has instituted additional programs to engage pharmacists on staff to assist with emergency preparedness in kentucky, as well as for naloxone training and inventory.
