$735KBehavioral Health Taskforce and Drug Prevention Coalition work to decrease the stigma associated with mental illness and substance use recovery, increase access to mental and behavioral health resources, and prevent suicide and overdose deaths. Particular focus this year includes providing resources and trainings to the community as well as a strong focus on primary prevention.

$173KStrengthening Cultural Unity builds social justice and understanding among the different cultural, ethnic, and social groups within our community. There is a strong focus on health equity in particular with the Filipino Community in Ketchikan as well as a revival of cultural connections. Culture is medicine.
