LEUTH FAMILY FOUNDATION

The foundation provided funds to the reading partners program at river east elementary school located in new york city, subsidizing the purchase of technology and related materials for the classroom. The reading partners program received 20% of the current year charitable awards given by the foundation.

For 2024, the foundation began a partnership with patronato benefico oriental ["pbo"], an organization that supports the hogar del nino program in the dominican republic. To help address educational needs of the local children the foundation executed a grant to support costs of tuition for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics ["stem"] and arts curriculum. The hogar del nino program involves comprehensive learning for students from birth through age 18, and since 2020 has served more than 60,000 individuals. Each day the pbo engages with more than 2,000 students who reside in the most vulnerable communities surrounding the la romana area. Pbo instructs through innovation and a multidisciplinary environment, such as a "makerspace" that emphasizes creativity and curiosity through stem learning (including robotics and technology coding). The foundation in 2024 disbursed 16% of its charitable awards to pbo.

The foundation continued its partnership with the henry street settlement by providing tuition assistance for 4 of its students to attend college in the state of new york. The henry street settlement acknowledges that many students from an impoverished area face barriers to higher education coming from a low income or new york city housing authority ["nycha"] residential area. A key part of the benefit provided to students is to support educational success and encourage healthy living through arts and sports. The foundation in 2024 contributed 12% of its annual charitable awards to the henry street settlement program.
